Eye Exams

We perform routine eye exams to fit you for contacts and/or glasses, plus we have

an in-house eye boutique to offer you quality contact lenses and stylish, proper glasses.

According to the Vision Council of America (VCA), anyone with a history of eye disease,

diabetes or taking medication should have their eyes checked once a year.

But remember it’s important to catch problems before they start producing symptoms or progress too far.

Eye Wear

Selecting the appropriate frames for your glasses can be difficult.  Our expert optician can

help you select the one that suits you the best. The right frames will make you look better by adding to

your personality. Optical frames are available in plastic as well as metal. Our prices range from as low

as $49.99, and cover all of the options, from a child’s first pair to the bi-focals required in our later years.

The spectacle frames should usually be a little more practical then the sunglasses, as spectacles have to be

worn for longer times. If you select a frame that is either too heavy or bulky or uncomfortable, you may end

up not wearing them for the desired amount of time.  This may lead to increased visual discomfort.

So it is wise to be practical and buy the glasses frames that are trendy as well as comfortable.

The rimless glasses are a good choice as they are very light and look good.

Designer frames might cost more, but at our in-house eye wear boutique, you have a lot of choices.

The special choices available are endless, from casual designs to sports wear and sunglasses which block UV rays as well.

Our optician also offers contact lenses and will help you with contact fittings and answer questions you might have about the switch to contacts.

LASIK (Laser Assisted Intrastromal Keratomileusis) is a procedure in which first a corneal flap is created and the excimer laser (as with PRK) is utilized to alter the cornea.  After the cornea has been reshaped, the corneal flap is laid back into place.  The healing process is quick with LASIK due to the corneal flap acting as a natural bandage.

Key Benefits of LASIK
Low risk of healing haze or scar tissue
Low risk of post-operative infection
Low risk of post-operative pain.
Fast visual recovery, allowing both eyes to be quickly and safely treated, often the same day.
Ability to correct myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism, with great predictability of results
